Bondom is a platform dedicated to advancing Cambodia's creative landscape. Its mission is to empower Cambodian creatives to produce meaningful, lasting work. Through essential skills and resources, Bondom helps build a vibrant community of professionals who contribute to Cambodia's growing and globally competitive graphic design industry.
This special edition of Bondom presents an exploration of the unique challenges and opportunities faced by designers in Cambodia and around the world, featuring industry insights and perspectives from acclaimed designers, Sokai Yoon and Both Bou. The presentations will be followed by a panel discussion with Q&A, providing attendees with the chance to interact directly with the speakers and have their questions answered.
About the Speakers
Sokai Yoon is a Cambodian-American visual designer at Android Software, a former Google employee, as well as an accomplished artist and photographer. He is deeply committed to leveraging his creative expertise to advance the fields of art, design, and technology within the next generation of the Cambodian diaspora. Through the lens of visual storytelling and cultural connection, combined with design thinking, Sokai aims to connect with other creatives on this journey to rediscover and celebrate Khmer heritage.
Both Bou is a co-founder and creative director of Anagata, a design company that specialises in strategy, brand identity and typeface design. He is an acclaimed designer known for his robust and timeless design solutions, emphasising concept and strategy. He spearheaded the significant identity redesign for Baramey, revitalising the company's image as a leading music label for original music in Cambodia. Both's work has been showcased in renowned identity design publications such as Logolounge and The Brand Identity. He has also delivered a TEDxTalk on the importance of effective logos.
