Raintree, along with our partners—the Vann Molyvann Project and NK-A—are proud to present "Modern Architecture: Echoes & Reflections," a major exhibition explores the rich heritage and lasting impact of the New Khmer Architecture movement. The exhibition will run from 2 November to 6 December 2024, inviting the public to engage with Cambodia’s architectural history through a contemporary lens.
What sets this exhibition apart is the presentation of rare and previously unseen architectural materials in the Vann Molyvann Project and Vann Molyvann Private Collection, in cooperation with artworks, inspired by this rich modern heritage, produced by seven artists with diverse backgrounds, including Pen Sereypagna, Prak Dalin, Srun Rida, Leng Kimsreang, Hor Daro, Litara Ung and Kim Dayung, exclusively available at Raintree. The exhibition offers a fresh perspective and insight for industry professionals, students, and creatives alike.
Alongside the exhibition, we’re presenting a series of community events, including architecture tours, screenings by award-winning Cambodian filmmakers, and panel discussions focused on the intersection between architecture and community.
This is more than just an exhibition – it’s a journey through Cambodia’s architectural evolution and its relevance, retrospectively and today.
